Schools in Sabah Al-Ahmad area ‘ready’ for students, says minister of education

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 28, (KUNA): Kuwait’s Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi confirmed that the schools in Sabah Al-Ahmad city, of the Ahmadi educational zone, are ready to receive students and workers in the area for the new school year.

Al-Azmi said to KUNA on Tuesday that following an inspection tour of the Sabah Al-Ahmad schools, it is officially definite the schools will be ready for this year and thanked all the workers in the Ahmadi educational zone on their efforts in the preparations to receive the academic year. Al-Azmi assured the Ministry’s interest, as the officials are keen on it, on continuing inspections tours on the educational areas to ensure the progress of the work and determine the readiness for the new academic year.

In the context of the ministry’s preparations for the academic year, the new teachers’ courses in the six educational areas organised by the department, which lasted two weeks, included administrative, technical and educational lectures to inform the new teachers about the working mechanism and the rules and regulations followed.

In addition to the work environment and administrative aspects, the course informs the teachers about the financial affairs as well as their role in the educational activities in schools alongside getting acquainted with the nature of the Kuwaiti society and how to deal with students to build constructive relations with all parties in the process.

The course also includes many technical axes to introduce new teachers to quality standards by starting to familiarise them with the educational system in the country, inform them of the latest developments in the field of scholarly work, provide professional skills required to achieve the efficiency of work, and finally the success of the system. The teachers were chosen after passing the exams and the required qualifications by the concerned authorities at the Ministry of Education
