Saudi Crown Prince visits Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY , Dec 10: Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia, and his party left Kuwait on Friday evening after an official visit. They were seen off at the airport by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, Chief of Staff of His Highness the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah as well as other senior officials.

Earlier His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday received at Dar Yamama the visiting Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, in a session attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In honor of the grand State guest, His Highness the Amir decorated Crown Prince Mohammad with Mubarak Al-Kabeer Medal and Kuwait Medal, in appreciation for the Crown Prince achievements and distinctive efforts for Saudi Arabia and its gracious people. Crown Prince Mohammad has exerted the distinguished efforts for serving stability, security and progress of the kingdom, solidifying the bonds of brotherhood between Kuwait and the kingdom and among the GCC states.

The session was also attended by the Deputy Chief of the National Guard (ret. lieut. gen.) Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Head of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Saud Al-Sabah. The Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah stated that the talks during the session dealt with the deep-rooted, historic and brotherly relations that bond the two (ruling) gracious families, the two countries and peoples. He also indicated that the talks dealt with means of boosting cooperation in various spheres as well as cooperation among the GCC countries for serving common interests and attaining GCC peoples’ aspirations. Moreover, the two sides during the cordial session affirmed the mutual desire to expand coordination at various levels.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Friday held a dinner banquet in honor of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Deputy Prime Minster and Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia, and his accompanying delegation, now on an official visit to Kuwait.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Friday visiting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Al-Aziz Al Saud, the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister, and his accompanying delegation.

Official talks were held between the two sides during which Sheikh Mishal presided over the Kuwaiti side and Prince Mohammad led the Saudi delegation. Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah led the Kuwaiti side to the talks that included head of His Highness the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and senior state officials. Prince Mohammad led the Saudi side that featured Princes and senior state officials.The talks discussed means of boosting and strengthening bonds of brotherly ties between the two countries in all fields as well as expanding cooperation to serve mutual interests and issues of common concern.

In addition, the two sides reviewed horizons of the unified Gulf support aiming to achieve common interests and meet aspirations of the GCC peoples in a manner that boosts security, stability and prosperity. They further focused on continued coordination in the issues that concern the GCC states and the latest developments on international and regional arenas. The talks were held in cordial atmospheres, that reflected the spirit of brotherhood between the two countries, and their common desire for further cooperation and coordination on all levels.(KUNA)
