Saudi Arabia appreciates US efforts in eliminating IS leader

RIYADH, Oct 28 (KUNA) — An official source at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Monday that the government followed up the announcement of US President Donald Trump on the success of efforts to eliminate the leader of the so-called Islamic State (IS) terrorist organization Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the source added that the Saudi government appreciates the great efforts of the US administration in pursuing the members of this dangerous terrorist organization, which distorted the true image of Islam and Muslims around the world and committed atrocities and crimes that contradict the most basic human values in many countries including the Kingdom.

The source stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is continuing its efforts with its allies, led by the United States of America, in combating terrorism, drying up its sources and confronting its dangerous criminal ideology.
