Salaries of govt employees for March transferred, money in ATMs sterilized

KUWAIT CITY, March 18: The Ministry of Finance announced that it has completed the transfer of salaries of government employees for the month of March, and as of today (Wednesday) the banks will start to disburse the money to respective employees, reports Al-Anba daily.

At the same time, the Ministry emphasizes it is working to meet all requirements given the situation in the country following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

The daily added, the Central Bank remains committed to the government employees receiving their salaries on time.

Informed sources have reassured the employees that the funds available in the ATM machines are sterile, clean and do not carry any viruses such as corona.

It stated the money deposited by customers through external service centers of the banks are not fed in the ATM machines. Money which has not been in circulation for at least 14 days are fed in the ATM machines after it is being kept in the bank coffers for 14 days and sterilized by specialized persons.
