Runaway Sri Lankan maid held

KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Jahra police have arrested a Sri Lankan housemaid who had run away from her sponsor living in Sa’ad Al-Abdullah after stealing a valuable watch worth KD 12,000, reports Al-Anba daily.
During interrogation the maid said she stole the watch because her female sponsor was not paying her monthly salaries.
The thief admitted to giving the watch to her boyfriend who sold it and gave her KD 600. The maid has been referred to the authorities and police are looking for the boyfriend
