KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: About 150 people gathered in Block 7 of Taima area to perform stunts with their cars, and drifted in the absence of the traffic police after blocking the roads to traffic.

Video clips of the drifting orgy, which continued for some time, went viral on social media before the traffic police arrived at the scene and managed to disperse the gathering.

Incidents of this nature draw attention to the absence of law enforcement in deterring reckless motorists who tamper with people’s time and operate by closing roads to perform activities that threaten the safety of other road users.

Hunt for culprits: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department and Forensics personnel are conducting intensive investigations to arrest the suspects who broke into the Doha Citizens Service Center and stole several ‘blank driving licenses’, passports, documents and also an ATM machine, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the theft was committed during National and Liberation Days holidays. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.
