Rotten foodstuff confiscated, many citations issued in 2 shifts

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 11: Director of Kuwait Municipality Branch at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Engineer Samia Al-Anzi disclosed readiness of the Municipality to observe Eid Al-Adha through beach cleaning campaigns and removal of violating advertisements.

In a statement, Al-Anzi added the department of sanitation is following up cleaning activities in the streets and yards next to 52 mosques, and 386 violating advertisement have since been removed. He pointed out that the department for monitoring foods and markets has since launched a number of campaigns in the morning and night shifts and confiscated 50 kgs of spoilt food and also issued 36 violations.

He added the emergency team at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Municipality will remove violating advertisements during Eid holiday. She advised citizens and expatriates to desist from dealing with street butchers for their own safety.
