Robbed under threat; Ex-con arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 18: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department, Capital governorate, are looking for three masked men wearing dishdasha for threatening to kill an Asian and robbing him, reports Al-Anba daily. A complaint has been filed with the Al-Waha Police Station. He told police the theft occurred near his sponsor’s house. The armed trio reportedly stopped him on the way and asked him to hand over the wallet and escaped. The wallet contained his ID and KD 300.

Ex-con arrested: Personnel from the Farwaniya Security Directorate have arrested a Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia in connection with five cases of possessing booze, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came in Al-Ardhiya Industrial Area. It has been reported the suspect tried in vain to escape but he was chased and arrested. He has been handed over to the Sentences Enforcement Department.
