Rapid tests for coronavirus arrive in Kuwait

KUWAIT, March 22 : Tests, used in rapid “point-of-care” coronavirus (COVID-19) detection, arrived in Kuwait, making it the first country in the region to obtain such method, said the Ministry of Health Sunday.

Assistant secretary at the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al-Bader told KUNA that the tests, approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), had arrived in Kuwait in coordination with local and international drug companies.

The tests, using molecular methods, will speed up the process of detecting coronavirus within 45 minutes, he affirmed (KUNA) –
