Proposal approved to prevent domestic workers traveling without sponsors permission

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 17: The parliamentary Interior Affairs Committee has unanimously approved a proposal to prevent domestic workers from traveling without obtaining a permit from the sponsor.
The proposal includes stipulation on investigating domestic workers arrested for absconding to identify the person who harbored them as the latter will be required to pay for the travel ticket and recruitment expenses incur.
Meanwhile, the State Audit Bureau has announced the formation of a supervisory team tasked to evaluate the performance of the Education Ministry in a bid to improve the quality of education in the country.
