Procedural flaws suspend tender

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development has suspended the tender for the integrated system project which depends on artificial intelligence (AI) in order to follow up the plan and assess its feasibility, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources.

Sources explained that the Secretariat took this decision due to flaws in the procedures, and then formed an investigation committee to determine the reasons behind the delay in certain procedures. Soon after finding out errors in the procedures for implementing the project, the Secretariat informed the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) about the suspension decision.

It also referred everyone who caused the delay and errors to the investigation committee formed by Secretary General of the council Dr Khaled Mehdi, sources disclosed. According to the sources, the Procurement Committee in the Secretariat noticed contradictions in the statements and opinions of those in charge of the project in its recent meetings; during which the team was obligated to discuss the project in front of the Procurement Committee to present the evaluation of the tender to the central body, which pointed out the contradicting statements and fl aws in the procedures
