Probe on jail worker continues

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: The unidentified female employee of the Central Prison has been referred to the Prosecution for interrogation for attempting to smuggle drugs into the facility using a minor, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily said charges include negligence in taking care of a child, exploitation of a child to smuggle narcotic substances into the facility.

The accused during interrogation said her brother is a drug addict is serving term for a drug offence. She added, she made use of the child to smuggle six sachets of heroin into the facility by hiding the drugs in the clothes of the child weighing 60 grams.

She added, she was good to all her colleagues at work and maintained good friendship but did not expect them to search her 9-year-old daughter.
