Preacher absolved in ‘contempt’ case

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15: The Criminal Court acquitted preacher Othman Al-Khamis of contempt and inciting others to hate Shiites in Kuwait through lectures uploaded on the social networking site You- Tube, says Al-Seyassah.
On the other hand, a judge decided to extend the detention of two expatriates accused of laundering KD2.5 million to Canada, along with a former MP who escaped to another country. The next hearing on the case is scheduled for Feb 23, 2022.
