Porsche Centre Kuwait hosts 5-day event to fascinate motorsports’ fans – A thrilling driving experience off track

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 11: Porsche Centre Kuwait, Behbehani Motors Company recently hosted the five-day Fascination. Porsche. event at 360 Mall showcasing Porsche’s four pillars: Motorsport, Heritage, Product and E-Performance. The event attracted a vast number of Porsche enthusiasts, who experienced various interactive installations that allowed them to fully immerse the exciting world of Porsche.

Highlighting Porsche’s heritage, the event allowed Porsche fans to marvel at the classic 1970 911 Carrera. A pure sports car in a classical design, the two-seater stood out in its pale white exterior color, beautifully contrasting with its black leather interior. This vehicle holds a 2.2-litres capacity engine with 180 of horsepower and was considered to be revolutionary in its time. Fast forwarding to the present, the Carrera continues to embody the brand’s principles and values in every curve. The product highlight at the display showcased a 2018 model of the 911 Carrera. Roaring with 370hp from 2.9-litres of displacement, this model encompasses endless optional features customised to meet with various preferences.
The interior can be made available in Bordeaux Red leather with the Porsche crest embossed on the head restraints. In addition, a sunroof with an electric slide mechanism provides drivers with the perfect access to the panoramic view of the city. Driving is also made easier with innovative systems such as the ParkAssist, with an optional reversing camera facilitating precise reverse parking and maneuvering.
Celebrating a legendary motorsports history in a remarkable manner, the display ensured to showcase the spectacular features of the Porsche 919 Hybrid that is known to be Porsche’s champion at Le Mans finish-lines. An impressive collection of LEGO bricks were used to put together the first LEGO-based Porsche model in Kuwait, emulating the victories recorded by this vehicle.
The event also presented a thrilling platform to engage with the public through a virtual reality experience from inside one of the new Porsche Panamera Hybrid model to explore the new features and learn about the mechanism of the hybrid technology. Additionally, visitors were invited to take on the challenge of unleashing their inner race driver through participating in the hyper realistic simulator experience powered by Forza Motorsport 7 game.
In the exceptional display area, a massive rotating screen tower featured a number of videos demonstrating the evolution of Porsche’s sports cars and the numerous victories celebrated. Attendees were also tested on their Porsche knowledge through an interactive quiz while exploring the different vehicles on display.
