Speaking on the issue, Deputy Director General for Technical Affairs at the Environment Public Authority Mohammad Al-Enezi said the sector has been collecting hundreds of water samples for laboratory tests and results from the Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Electricity and Water have been announced with absolute transparency.

He stated the authority invited the whistleblower twice to come forward with information at his disposal but he could not honor the invitation.

He stressed the authority usually tests about 400-500 samples from different locations each month with assistance of relevant international organizations such the World Health Organization (WHO) to ascertain they do not contain bacteria. He stated the authority invited the whistleblower twice to come forward with information at his disposal but he did not honor the invitation.

He warned the authority will regard the man as violator of Article 126 of the environmental protection law if he fails to honor the third invitation on Wednesday.
