Almost 900 cartons of imported liquor were found neatly stashed in a truck in a farm at Wafra, south of Kuwait City.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Personnel from the General Department for Drug Control have arrested two Kuwaitis and are looking for a third for smuggling and trading in booze, reports Al-Anba daily.

Acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant, the officers raided a farm in Wafra, took in custody the two men and seized 898 cartons of imported alcohol worth KD 750,000 from a truck which was parked inside the farm.

Although the bootleggers have admitted to smuggling the booze via the sea, the officers are continuing interrogations with the men to find out what was their ‘modus operandi’ since the smuggled quantity of booze is big.
