PHFS spent KD 95m since inception

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 30: Director General of the Patients Helping Fund Society (PHFS) Jamal Al- Fouzan affirmed that daily activities of the society focus on health awareness for each individual in the country, reports Al-Anba daily.

Al-Fouzan said the society offers life rescue training courses at a special training center, adding the courses are intensified in the colleges of Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET) in case of unforeseen war, God forbid.

He noted Kuwaiti philanthropists, Kuwait Zakat House and Kuwait Awqaf Public Foundation, and lately the Public Authority for Minor Affairs render support in the treatment of pediatric cochlea. He also revealed that the society has spent KD 95 million since inception, and a tripartite agreement was reached this year with the Zakat House, Kuwait Cancer Center and Patients Helping Fund Society to treat cancer patients.
