‘Pay, or no work’

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Directors, monitors and inspectors of food and cleaning section of the Kuwait Municipality of Capital, Hawalli and Farwaniya governorates in the third election constituency have decided to stop the supervision, cleaning and removing violating hoardings put up by candidates and also buffet tents built at election sites, reports Al-Shahed daily.
They are objecting to the refusal by the Kuwait Municipality to pay them allowance for working during elections. They pointed out they have not received the allowances for their work during the last elections until now. They added the work of the committee goes on until late hours and stressed that the Kuwait Municipality has been told to pay their allowance.
