PAM will not tolerate violations regarding law on noon work ban

KUWAIT CITY, June 22: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) stressed on Wednesday that it will not tolerate violations on enforcement of the law regarding noon work ban. The official spokesman and director of the Public Relations and Media Department of the authority, Aseel Al-Mazyed, stressed in a press statement the need to abide by the decision to ban the employment of workers at noon, which prohibits the employer from employing workers in open places between 11 am and 4 pm for the period extending from the first of June until the end of August.

PAM indicated that a monitoring team is conducting inspection campaigns in all regions of the country, especially those under construction sector, adding that the process of conducting the violation is carried out directly according to strict procedures. It stated that the inspector, when he confirms the presence of workers in violation of the decision, issues a notice of one working day, and the site is re-inspected on the next day, pointing out that in the event that the violation continues, the employer will be issued the necessary violation in application of the regulations and decisions regulating. It called for using the designated hotline number 99523590 to receive communications submitted by citizens and residents to be dealt with by the dedicated work team. (KUNA)
