PAM, Social Affairs open doors for Kuwaitis ‘willing to work’ in co-ops

KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Federation of Cooperative Societies and the Ministry of Social Affairs will soon ink a cooperation protocol with the national workforce sector of the Public Authority for Manpower through which citizens wishing to work in cooperatives will be able to register and upload the certificates and data required for employment, reports Al-Jarida daily.

According the Ministry of Social Affairs sources the team for Kuwaitization of supervisory positions in cooperative societies, which was formed based on the decisions recently taken by the Committee for Amending Demographics and Developing the Labor Market in cooperation with related agencies will put the final touches on the provisions of the protocol, which will define the examination mechanisms for citizens who wish to work in the cooperatives. The sources stated after PAM receives employment applications via the platform the committee, which will be formed by the Undersecretary will screen the applicants to ensure they meet the requirements for appointment, and then determine the date for personal interviews after passing the exams, which will be conducted by a committee.
