PAM highlights inaccuracies in viral news on visa transfer

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has announced that the news, which was recently published in some newspapers and has been circulating on social media, about allowing the transfer of residency for workers under dummy or blocked companies to new legit employers was not accurate, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, the authority clarified that the opening of doors for labor grievances is based on articles and items contained in the labor law and regulations issued by the authority in this regard, particularly the administrative decision No. 842/2015 concerning the transfer of an employee to a new employer (sponsor) and its amendments.

PAM affirmed that the items, regulations and the amendments in this regard in the articles of the labor law are devoid of any information contained in the circulating news concerning the residency transfer.
