KUWAIT CITY, June 24: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is currently drafting many decisions and reconsidering all existing decisions related to organizing the labor market in a bid to increase the national employment rate in the private sector.

Sources explained this will be done through the replacement of expatriates in various positions with national employees, while limiting the transfer of employees within the same activities in all sectors. Sources said this is in addition to setting up a new integrated mechanism to hire workers with strict conditions in order to prevent exploitation or leakage within any of the activities.

Sources affirmed the authority will soon review the decisions on regulating the labor market, especially in terms of assessing the manpower needs of small and medium enterprises. Sources revealed an integrated study on visions, legal descriptions and decisions was submitted to the authority’s Board of Directors for discussion and approval
