Pakistani, Indian and a Bangladeshi forgers nabbed – Forging driving licenses and civil IDs

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Personnel from the Residence Affairs Investigation Department have arrested three expatriates – Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi – for forging driving licenses, civil IDs and official documents, reports Al-Rai daily.

Acting on a tip-off and following intensive investigations, the officers got an arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution, set a trap for the men and caught them red-handed while handing over a forged document to a police agent. Police then raided the apartment of the suspects in Fahaheel and confiscated forged documents, and equipment used in the trade – printers, photocopiers, special inks and other tools.

According to a security source, during interrogation the men are said to have admitted to the charges filed against them. The source, quoting the suspects said, they were very cautious when receiving their clients most of who were brought to them by trustworthy people, but finally they fell for the trap.
