Pakistani and Egyptian handed over to Kuwait authorities

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7:  A truck driver was arrested in Khafji for trying to smuggle an Egyptian through Salmi border. Securitymen assigned at Khafji checkpoint in Saudi Arabia ordered the Egyptian to return to Kuwait as his passport was not stamped by Kuwaiti authorities at the border between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

It turned out that he is wanted by law for involvement in several cases and he has been banned from travelling. During interrogation, the officers discovered that the Egyptian paid 10,000 pounds to facilitate his departure from Kuwait.

A security source disclosed the passport officer closely examined the seals on the passports of the truck driver and the Egyptian, leading to the discovery that the latter travelled out of Kuwait illegally. The driver and the Egyptian were referred to the concerned security department for legal action.

Also, the Saudi border authorities have arrested a Pakistani who was attempting to leave the country by hiding under the back seat of a vehicle driven by a Kuwaiti, reports Arab Times daily. Both men have been handed over to the Kuwaiti authorities. According to the security sources, the Pakistani is wanted by law in Kuwait in connection with several cases.

Kuwaiti fraud nabbed: A Kuwaiti woman involved in ten cases of cheating and breach of trust has been arrested in Jahra area. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling the area near a commercial complex when they suspected a woman driving her vehicle in the area and checked her details to discover she is a Kuwaiti citizen who is involved in six cases of cheating and four cases of breach of trust. She was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Meanwhile, securitymen also arrested a Bedoun man who has been sentenced to two-year imprisonment over a case of theft of KD 8,000. He was also referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action
