KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The Public Authority for Industry has issued a decision to stop providing all types of services and also stop transactions of 102 individuals and companies who own 102 industrial plots, due to their non-payment of their due annual fees (usufruct) to the authority’s treasury, reports Al-Qabas daily. Sources said these are the owners of industrial plots who use millions of industrial meters leased from the state for low fees, and are located in industrial areas, including Shuwaikh Industrial, Sabhan, Mina Abdullah, Al Rai, and Shuaiba Al Gharbia and who had been warned earlier.

The decision bearing No. 157 of 2021, of which Al-Qabas obtained a copy, stated that the Public Authority for Industry had previously warned the beneficiaries of these plots on September 19, asking them to pay the dues to the authority within two weeks, which represents the rental value for the use of the plots of land allocated to them, but a majority did not respond to the, and accordingly, legal measures will be taken against them within a month, starting from today, December 19 in the event they fail to pay the fees within the prescribed period. The plot of land will be withdrawn from the owner permanently.
