Over 50% Kuwaitis employed

KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The latest statistics issued by the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) revealed that 58.4 percent of the Kuwaiti population – 2.8 million out of 4.8 million – are employed including domestic workers, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Kuwaitis constitute 4.2 percent or 73,000 of 1.7 million employees in the private sector, while those employed in the public sector reached 380,000 or 18.1 percent of the total of manpower.
