KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Abdulwahab Al-Bader said the fund will sign a number of projects with Lebanon once the new government is formed, reports Al- Shahed daily.
Al-Bader told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Kuwait TV on the sidelines of his participation of the Arab Economic, Social and Development Summit held in Beirut that if the Lebanese government is formed, the fund will sign the financing of one of the previously agreed projects, worth (about $15 million). He explained there is an intention to consider a loan for a sewage project in the northern region of Batroun for KD 17.5 million dinars (about 57 million dollars) in 2019.
The Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development implements several development projects and infrastructure projects in various Lebanese regions.
