No new variant in 205 COVIDs

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 30: No new strain of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) has been detected so far in Kuwait, spokesman for the Ministry of Health Abdullah Al-Sanad has said.

A number of teams at the ministry are making researches to know whether there are new strains of the virus, Al-Sanad added during the weekly coronavirus update news conference on Tuesday. He stressed that the coronavirus vaccination campaign is going on for the third day.

During the first days of the vaccination, a group of all segments in the society from different age groups took the vaccine, he noted. Through the first phase of the vaccination, the priority will be given to the elderly and those who are in the health workers, he made clear. (KUNA)
