‘No nationality for child’ – Social media story denied

KUWAIT CITY, July 30: The Ministry of Social Affairs said sending the child, who was found by police in a suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, to the Social Care Home does not mean he will be granted the Kuwaiti nationality, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The sources said the nationality is granted only in accordance with the regulations and controls stipulated by the Nationality Law. The sources denied what was published by some social media sites that the nationality will be granted to the child.

The sources explained, the child will remain in the social care home until the family of the boy is found and the concerned authorities are exerting tremendous efforts to find the family.
