‘No girl kidnapped, murdered’ – MoI rejects rumours

KUWAIT CITY, April 26: Public Relations and Security Media Department of Ministry of Interior denied rumors circulating on social media about the kidnapping and brutal murder of a young girl in Kabad area.

In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the department stressed that this story is unfounded. According to the account of the whistleblowers, the perpetrators took advantage of the fact that the girl is mentally ill by kidnapping her from the premises of Kabad Cooperative Society, raping and murdering her brutally.

However, the department indicated that no case in this regard has been lodged so far and no family has reported any girl missing or kidnapped.

It warned that those responsible for this rumor are liable to legal prosecution. It cautioned the public to refrain from spreading false information, affirming that those seeking the truth regarding any issue are welcome to clear their doubts with the concerned authorities.
