Nine mobile groceries confiscated

A Municipality crane lifts an illegal mobile grocery to be confiscated.

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 30: Jahra Municipality’s Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department launched a field campaign against hawkers and mobile grocery stores on the road towards Kabad area during which the team lifted nine mobile grocery stores and two motorbikes, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

In a press statement, director of the department explained that the department prepared a field plan that highlighted the locations of the hawkers.

This plan was then used to launch the campaign which was aimed at maintaining the beauty of the location and preserving the health safety of the public by curbing the sale of food items at unlicensed locations.

The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to use the hotline No. 139 or contact via its social media accounts to report any complaint concerning the municipality’s work, affirming that Kuwait municipality will deal with those complaints in accordance with the rules and regulations of Kuwait Municipality.
