New terminal at Kuwait airport one of ‘largest’ in region

New Kuwait Company recently released its report confi rming the beginning of works on the design, construction, furnishing and maintenance of the new terminal building at Kuwait International Airport.

According to the report, the project will cover a dimension of 6.8 kilometers so this will be one of the largest airports in the region, providing the best services to passengers and breaking record of environmental standard for other airports.

The new terminal will solve problem of congestion in the existing terminal. The report revealed that the new terminal is designed to accommodate 13 million passengers per annum taking into consideration new and advanced ideas. As time goes by, the capacity will be increased to 25 million per year and then 50 million at later stages of expansion. The new terminal will consist of two transit hotels which are fully-furnished and connected directly to the building for easy movement of travelers.

The VIP, first class and business halls are designed beautifully with luxury items. The terminal will have F-type 30-51 gates, apart from the multi-level parking lots to accommodate 5,000 vehicles for departing and arriving passengers.
