New airport project referred to Anti Corruption Authority

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 16: The Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr Rana Al-Fares referred a report of a fact-finding committee on the new Kuwait airport project to Public Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) to take the necessary legal measures in this regard.

In a statement Tuesday, the minister said that the fact-finding committee has concluded that the project completion rates are inconsistent with the contractual timetable, according to reports previously submitted by the project supervising body, as well as some technical, financial and legal remarks.

A set of technical recommendations contained in the reports of the committee have been approved and those concerned have been instructed to put them into effect quickly, she added.
