Nepali bootleggers nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: Acting on a tip-off and armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution, personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) from the Capital Governorate accompanied by a team from the Kuwaiti Municipality raided an apartment in Jaber Al- Ahmad and arrested four Nepalese – two men and two women – for manufacturing alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, police have seized from the four people scores of barrels which were used to store raw material in addition to alcohol manufacturing equipment, yeast and sugar. The contraband and the manufacturers have been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control.
