Nazaha refers some top MoC officials to Public Prosecution

KUWAIT CITY, April 4: The Public Anti-Corruption Commission “Nazaha” stated that after investigation and gathering evidence some senior officials and supervisor leaders and supervisors in the Ministry of Communications were referred to the Public Prosecution for reportedly facilitating the appropriation of public funds, pursuant to Article No. 10 of Law No. 1 of 1993 regarding the protection of associated public funds, reports Al-Jarida daily.

This is in continuation of its efforts to combat corruption and prevent its risks. Although it constitutes a quasi-crime to be referred to the competent investigation authority, the suspects were referred to the Prosecution as per what is stipulated in Article No. 5, Clause 2 of the establishment law of Nazaha, according to which the authority receives reports, complaints and information regarding crimes of corruption and after thoroughly studying them and takes the necessary action.
