Nationality & brave decision

State apparatuses, from what we know and what we do not know, have been afflicted with almost complete laxity and erosion, and the reader should not be misled by what he sees of commercial activity, traffic jams, dazzling lights on the skyscrapers that fill the capital, and the sight of waves of shoppers in malls. The wrong demographic cast a dark political and social shadow on the entire activity of the state!

Kuwait, for one reason or another, is forced to adhere to the democratic system, and this means the necessity of holding elections, and the need for the government to deal with its results, and these results have become a dangerous aspect in the current political dispute and stalemate, and therefore the situation must be addressed, and this requires moving towards making Kuwait a typical state, and it is not difficult, whenever there is intention and determination.

We first need to transform Kuwait into a true liberal democratic state in keeping with the times. This requires, even temporarily, banning any political parties based on religion or following any of the sects in the state, dissolving their associations, whether cooperative or charitable, and confiscating their funds.

Secondly, repeal of Law No. 44 of 1994, which basically caused what we see as unacceptable outcomes in any elections, so that the nation, in its overwhelming majority, does not believe in the permanence of the state, and has nothing to do with the major problems of the nation, and does not care about the state of affairs.

It is no longer concerned about the deteriorating education and miserable moral conditions represented in the widespread of bribe and cheating. It is no longer worried about the suspension of developing projects, the administrative and monitoring backwardness or the reduction of State revenues.

It only cares about writing off the loans and increasing the salaries and pensions and grants in addition to distributing the houses, widening the promotions and allowances and eating up every piece of State fortune.

The Kuwaiti constitution had previously established a set of rules and provisions regarding Kuwaiti nationality, which were mentioned in its explanatory memorandum, and with inclusive provisions and definitions decided by the Nationality Law of 1959, which defined the original Kuwaiti as those who have settled in Kuwait prior to 1920 and their descendants. the presence of a Kuwaiti by incorporation, who settled in Kuwait before 1920, was considered a citizen by origin, and determined the three categories of nationality as follows:

First: Kuwaiti, All those who were on this land before 1920 and his children and descendants.

Second: Kuwaiti by origin, and he is the Kuwaiti born to a founding father and his descendants.

Third: Kuwaiti by naturalization: He who acquires nationality is called a naturalized Kuwaiti, and it is the characteristic that proves to his children and his descendants.

Thus, what was stated in Law 44 of 1994, which grants the son and daughter of a naturalized father another status different from that of his father, so that he became Kuwaiti by origin, is considered a violation of the constitution, and this was the beginning of the “legislative deviation and political chaos”, and the imbalance in the demographics, which requires the cessation of participation of everyone who obtained the Kuwaiti nationality, since after the liberation until today, in any upcoming elections.

The concerned authority must review all citizenship files that were granted in the post-liberation period until today, decide on the validity of granting them, and allow everyone whose eligibility is proven to exercise their electoral role normally.

There is no doubt that some, who have their prestige and pride, will be negatively affected if these matters are implemented, but the supreme interest of the state is the most important.

And I am certain that not taking any action with regard to the demographics, and not opening the nationality file, means the continuation of our loss and the deterioration of our conditions!
