Nasrawi wins late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Cup – Muhaiman claims 2,600 meter race

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: Al-Osaimi’s Nasrawi horse under the jockey Jossy has won the late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Cup for level 3 horses, covering a distance of 1,200 meters within 1.10 minutes.

With an interesting display of the sport of our forefathers, Al-Nasrawi beat Al-Hazem horse from the same Al-Osaimi stables controlled by the jockey Abdel to second place. Nayef Al-Dabous Sons’ Taala Intisari horse under the jockey McCarthy came third.

Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah Al-Muba-rak presented cup to the winner and owner of the stable Abdullah Al-Osaimi.

In the 2,600 meters race, which is regarded as the longest on the Equestrian Club track so far, Muhaiman horse from Salah Seif stable under the jockey McCarthy covered the distance within 2.45 minutes to win the cup donated by the heirs of Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak.

Al-Adfa’a horse from Al-Nashama stable under the jockey Tawfiq came second and Hala Ali from Khalid Al-Otaibi stable under Ali came third.

In the 1,800 race for original Arab horses, Al-Nadrah horse from Essam Al-Roumi stable under the jockey Du Balkas picked the trophy donated by Sheikh Saleh Al-Ibrahim by covering the distance within 2 minutes.

Al-Asifah horse from the stable of Al-Osaimi under the jockey Ali was second and Wasi’e Abtan horse from Al-Juhail stable under the jockey Louis took the third place.

In other races, Muhayerah horse from Dasman stable won the first round of 2,000 meters race in 2.5 minutes, followed by Humaidani and Irfan horses from Nayef Al-Dabous Sons’ stable in second and third positions respectively.

The second round of the 2,000 meters race was won by Sha’alani horse from Al-Nashama stable under the jockey McCarthy within 2.4 minutes, beating Marazeq horse from Al-Huwaila stable to second position and Muhawal horse from Al-Nashama stable to third position.

Jazam horse from Nayef Al-Rushaidi stable won the third round of the 1,800 meters race within 1.49 minutes, beating Jaz horse from Al-Juhail stable under the jockey Louis and Al-Mu’arab horse from Al-Nashama stable under the jockey Morgan to second and third places respectively.
