Municipality gives go ahead for cars and bikes circuit in Dajeej

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: The Kuwait Municipality has approved the request of the Public Authority for Sports to allocate the Jaber Al-Ahmad Circuit for cars and motorbikes in the Al-Dajeej area and referred the request to the Municipal Council, after allocating a permanent site for the Cars and Motorcycles Club on an area measuring 612,000 square meters, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Municipality demanded that the Authority adhere to the requirements of Directorate-General of Civil Aviation concerning the height of the buildings to be built on the site, and adhere to the requirements of the subcommittee on Public Utilities and Services and coordinate with it before implementation of the project.

On the other hand, the Municipality has agreed to the request of the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) to add commercial activities in the Salmiya Boulevard Park project, Block 8, and addressed the Council Chairman, Osama Al-Otaibi, in the letter submitted by PAAAFR provided that the added activities are within the allowed 10 percent commercial ratio for commercial use within the park. The issue has been submitted to the legal department to look into the request of PAAAFR and take the opinion of the Structured Plan Department, and to present the request and study to the Municipal Council with approval.
