He said the minister has completed a number of steps for the Ministry of Public Works to hand over Jaber Hospital to its health counterpart.

He added the minister is serious in his bid to implement reforms and develop work procedures as manifested in his decision to allot a day to listen to the complaints of citizens. He thanked the minister for taking into consideration his proposal to include Kuwaiti housewives in the health insurance project (Afia). He said this response is not surprising for a minister keen on working efficiently.

On another issue, MP Ali Al-Daqbasi said he obtained the signatures of 35 lawmakers on his request to discuss the Financial Affairs Committee’s report about the proposed amendment of the Social Insurance Law to reduce the retirement age for employees in the public and private sectors in the first session of the second legislative round. He urged the government to cooperate in pushing for the ratification of the bill which aims to generate thousands of job opportunities for Kuwaitis and solve many problems of the State like unemployment and accumulation of unnecessary workers in government agencies.
