Mosques photos, maps found on cams as 2 Indians arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 5: The State Security men have detained for interrogation two Indians, identified only as A.L. and A.A., both believed to be 36 and 48 years respectively, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the Indians were picked inside their car which was parked in the courtyard of the Bilal bin Rabah mosque in South Surrah.

According to security sources, the men had stored on their cell phones pictures of several mosques in Kuwait and maps of a number of important sites. The same sources said the arrest came after the State Security men received a tip from an unidentified source that terrorist organizations are now planning to use unsuspecting individuals to carry errands for them.

Check on parcels: The General Administration of Customs has intensified inspection measures particularly for parcels following confidential reports that some people may attempt to smuggle into the country forbidden items and materials for manufacturing explosives, reports Al-Shahed daily. The sources said special devices and sniffer dogs will be used by the inspectors before carrying out manual checks. These measures have been adopted following a request from the Interior Ministry.
