More than KD 400 million deducted from MOE budget

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: The Ministry of Finance has deducted more than KD400 million from the budget requested by its education counterpart for the new fiscal year, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources from the educational sector.

Source revealed the Ministry of Education received the approved budget recently, indicating the approved amount is KD1.99 billion while the requested budget was KD2.4 billion.

Sources said the first chapter of the requested budget, which includes salaries, amounted to KD2.2 billion; and the remaining amount was distributed to other chapters.
