More than 2 million residence transactions done online

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: Statistics issued by Ministry of Interior shows it has completed 2,190,641 residency transactions and 591,346 transactions are in the process of completion since the launch of the ministry opened the door online service due to the Covid-19 pandemic, reports Al-Anba daily.

Giving a breakdown the ministry said 20,139 residence renewal transactions for workers in the government sector, Article 17; 497,914 for workers in the private sector, Article 18; 120,368 renewals for domestic workers, Article 20; 277,609 family visas, Article 22; self sponsors 505, Article 24; the transfer of residence or visits 618,102 to Article 14, while those automatically benefitting from the ministerial decision for extended stay or visit was 546,708.

The Ministry of Interior affirmed that it will continue to receive visitors who wish to complete their services “online” through the Ministry of Interior website www.moi. gov.kw, noting that the current conditions that the country is going through in the face of the spread of the new Corona virus calls for the application of health requirements in order to protect the citizens and residents.
