MoI to keep checkpoints at Jleeb, Mahboula areas

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: The Ministry of Interior continues to implement plans to impose control and security in various regions, in line with the campaigns that it started implementing of late, reports Al-Rai daily. Security sources said “security checkpoints will be set up in areas where youths gather and more often than not are involved in reckless activities.

The security authorities have singled out Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula areas which will be placed under daily supervision and inspection until midnight.” The sources indicated that instructions have been issued to erect fixed security points in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Mahboula, and organize security checks from 6 pm until midnight with the aim of arresting violators of residence law, control the security situation and eradicate violation of public morals, and arrest wanted persons and drug traffickers.

The sources pointed to instructions that have been issued to provincial security directors, to set up security checkpoints to control the security situation and prevent any illegal behavior and deter reckless behavior.

Meanwhile, the General Administration of Residency Affairs Investigations arrested 24 residency violators, during an inspection campaign it carried out on the fish market in Sharq area in the Capital Governorate, reports Al-Rai daily.

The Public Relations and Security Media Department 6 of those arrested were reported absconding, one wanted in the breach of trust case, two persons who residence had expired and six of them who carried Article 20 (domestic workers) and six who had Visa 18 residence but worked for others instead of their sponsors.
