MoI issued almost 3,000 arrest warrants in 6 mths

KUWAIT CITY, July 8: The Directorate-General of Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated the Sentences Enforcement Department (SED) represented by the Criminal Judgment Execution Department and the Civil Execution Assistance Department, has issued the statistics on the functions and activities of the departments for the first half of this year.

Statistics issued by the Sentences Enforcement Department of the Ministry of Interior show during the first half of 2021, a total of 2,882 arrest warrants were issued, 1,882 orders were executed and 1,012 arrests were made. The department said the security campaigns are continuing throughout the country and called on the citizens and residents to cooperate with the security forces and not to shelter violators and wanted persons to avoid being charged with abetting criminals.
