MoF affirms high number of violations committed by MoH – Violating cafes issued citations

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: Ministry of Finance affirmed the high number of violations committed by Ministry of Health in terms of the overseas medical treatment file, reports Al-Qabas daily.

These violations include breach of a number of articles of laws and exaggeration in disbursements. According to a letter sent by Ministry of Finance to the National Assembly, Ministry of Health refused to reveal the number of patients who were sent for overseas medical treatments.

The letter also revealed that rate of disbursements increased by 330 percent from 105.9 million in 2015/2016 fiscal year to KD 645.5 million in 2016/2017 fiscal year. Meanwhile, the Emergency Team of Capital Municipality issued several citations and four warnings to a number of cafes for violations which included trespassing into state properties and unlicensed sunshades, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Head of the Emergency Team Zaid Al-Enzi said the violating cafés are given just one week to remove their violations after which the municipality will take legal actions against the violators. He affirmed that such campaigns will continue to be held in order to remove all violations in this regard.
