MoE warns of ‘distance learning’ tech

KUWAIT CITY, March 5: The Ministry of Education (MoE) has warned schools, government and private, against opting for online teaching system, stressing that anyone who violates this will be held accountable, reports Al-Anba daily.

Educational sources told the daily there are some schools with personal endeavors that have applied ‘online learning’ method noting that this has led to some parents complaining to the schools for following this method of teaching students in this way.

However, the sources explained the Ministry of Education is committed to the decision of the Council of Ministers regarding the suspension of studies, stressing that any school that violates the rules and regulations in this aspect will be held legally accountable, including private schools, whether Arab or foreign.
The sources said that the director of the Special Education Department, Sanad Al-Mutairi, informed the school administrations not to implement the “distance learning” system, according to the instructions of the Assistant Undersecretary for Special and Quality Education Dr Abdul Mohsen Al-Huwaila, who confirms the necessity of adhering to the procedures in place in this aspect.
