MoE compiles list of jobs held by non-Kuwaitis

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 20: As per the request of Civil Service Commission (CSC), Administrative Sector of the Ministry of Education is compiling a list of jobs occupied by none Kuwaitis in 16 sectors of the ministry for fi scal year 2016/2017, reports Al- Rai daily.

In this context, Assistant Undersecretary of Administration Fahad Al-Ghais has issued an elaborate statement regarding monthly bonuses and other allowances for none Kuwaiti teaching staff, which come down to KD 829 for heads of departments and KD 674 for educational researchers.

Basic
In a letter to the Director of CSC Abdulaziz Al-Zebn, Al-Ghais made it clear that basic salary of the head of department and educational researcher remained KD 310 until October 10, in addition to KD 15 teaching allowance, supervision allowance of KD 10, and KD 150 rent allowance.

It also indicated KD 30 increment for teachers and researchers, not counting KD 15 special increment and social allowance of KD 69. Undersecretary of Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr Haitham Al-Atari declared the suspension of classes in 105 schools where the parliamentary elections will be held on Nov 24 and Nov 27, reports Al-Anba daily. He said the decision was taken after consulting with the teaching staff members and technical instructions as well as the Public Education Department of the ministry.

Al-Atari revealed that Nov 27 will be a day off for students and teachers except for the managers, assistant managers and laborers in the 105 schools. He indicated that Ministry of Justice has requested for receiving these 105 schools from Nov 23 following the end of the school day.
