KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: Oversight reports revealed that “the Ministry of Communication failed to fill up 125 vacant supervisory positions in some approved departments, units and sections in its organizational structure,” reports Al-Qabas . According to the reports, “the ministry did not justify its failure to fill up these supervisory posts, which contradicts the decision of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) on filling up vacant supervisory positions.”

The reports said the ministry confirmed in its response to the regulatory authorities that work is underway to fill up these positions as needed, in accordance with the decree on transferring or privatizing certain departments and sectors in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in coordination with various authorities.” In another development, the State Audit Bureau (SAB) has reported that the ministry contacted the CSC regarding the entitlements of 529 employees, particularly the incentive for employees on the front line of the fight against coronavirus; although no decision was issued for these employees to continue working during the curfew period.
