Court ends misery: The judiciary put an end to the miserable situation of a Kuwaiti woman whose husband is mentally ill and staying permanently in the Psychology Medicine Hospital, and granted her divorce with alimony as well as the custody of her children, reports Al-Shahed daily.

The tragedy in her life began when her father approved to marry her to a man who is suffering from a serious psychological disease without her knowledge even though he is a permanent patient in the mental hospital and is allowed to get out only for one day every six months.

Her father approved the marriage because he received large sums of money including the dowry.

On the night of the marriage, the mentally-sick husband made it a hellish night for her as he assaulted her and he then disappeared the following day, that is to say he returned to the hospital.

She said, “Without knowing the reason behind his disappearance the next day, I asked his family about his whereabouts and they told me he was traveling. After six months, he returned but it was yet another terrible night”.

The poor woman noticed her cruel husband taking some medicine, so she took the medicines to a doctor who informed her that such medicines are prescribed for people with severe psychological cases.

The miserable wife filed a lawsuit and the court ruled in her favor and granted her divorce especially since her husband was summoned but he did not attend the court session because the hospital did not allow him.

Pursuant to their shock and rejection, the girl filed complaints and cybercrime detectives managed to identify him.
