Drunk driver crashes into patrol vehicle

KUWAIT CITY, May 17: A Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for drunken driving and crashing into a patrol vehicle in Ahmadi area. According to sources, a patrol officer was driving down King Fahad Expressway when a vehicle crashed into the patrol vehicle from behind. The officer went to check on the driver and detected the stench of alcohol from him. He checked his details to discover he is a Kuwaiti citizen, and he found a liquor bottle in the vehicle. He immediately arrested the citizen and referred him with the liquor bottle to Sabahiya Police Station, where a case was filed against him.

Army man arrested: A military man working for the Ministry of Defense has been arrested for assaulting a lance corporal working for the Road Security Rescue department while on duty, reports Al- Rai daily. The victim got a cut on the head during a fight between both men. This happened when the victim issued the military man a traffic citation on the Sepia Road. When the suspect produced his ID and introduced himself as a military man, the victim reportedly insisted on issuing him a ticket. This angered the military man and he punched the victim in the face.

Wanted juvenile held: Police have arrested a bedoun juvenile who was wanted by law in several theft cases and driving a stolen motorcycle, reports Al-Shahed daily. The suspect was arrested in Jahra. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities
